0-2 year funded places

There are two options for families to seek free education for their child;


Time to Start funding for lower income families of 2yr olds.
Eligible Criteria

  • Income Support

  • Income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance (JSA)

  • Income-related Employment and Support Allowance (ESA)

  • Universal Credit - if you and your partner have a combined income fromwork of less than £15,400 a year after tax

  • Tax credits and you have an annual income of under £16,190 before tax

  • The guaranteed element of State Pension Credit

  • Families receiving support under the Immigration and Asylum Act (part 6)have a NASS number

  • The Working Tax Credit 4-week run on (the payment you get when you stop qualifying for Working Tax Credit)

Non-EEA citizen who cannot claim benefits
Children could be entitled to a funded place if:

  • Parent’s immigration status includes the condition of “No Recourse to Public Funds; and their household income is less than £26,500 with 1 child or £30,600 with 2 or more children.

  • Families will need to evidence their immigration status and income when applying

Working Parent Entitlements from babies 9mths to children aged 3yrs

  • 15 hours childcare for babies from 9-months-old (this becomes 30hrs from hours or more a week. September 2025) and 30 Hours for 3-; 4-year-olds whose parents are working 16 hours

  • Parents can apply and check their eligibility and submit an online application at term before the entitlement is taken, there are three deadlines by whichwww.childcarechoices.gov.uk. Please note applications need to be completed the applications need to be made 31 st March, 31 st Aug and 31 st December.

  • Parents will receive an eligibility code to take to their childcare provide, this code needs to be renewed every 3 months.
