Education for Sustainable Citizenship

Embedded within our SchemaPlay pedagogy is Education for Sustainable Citizenship. This informs our knowledge curriculum plan and is created around environmental, social-cultural and economic themes. It supports the children’s knowledge and understanding of their;

• Community, jobs and roles.

By building upon children’s knowledge alongside their schemes, it also supports progression across the early years’ curriculum as it is designed to allow children to revisit their learning and deepen their understanding. It also builds lifelong resilience, skills and attitudes that support their sustainable citizenship.
